During our Saturday Service

If you have never visited our church and are looking to join us for a service, we hope that the following information will help. We know that visiting a church for the first time, especially if you are new to Jordan can be challenging, so please feel free to get in touch with us and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Kid’s at IACA

The children start each Saturday with their family in the church service. Part way through the service they then head out to Kid’s church, where they can explore the bible together and learn from their teachers.

Monthly Potluck

On the first Saturday of each month we share a meal together after the service. This is a time to fellowship together, get to know each other better, and reflect on the service while enjoying each other’s company.

What is Our Service Like?

We Sing Together – We sing together each Saturday to worship the Lord and exalt His name.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

Colossians 3:16

We hear the scripture read and preached – We listen to God’s perfect word, seeking to apply it to our lives and grow in our walk with Christ.

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

2 Timothy 3:16

We Pray Together – Each week we set aside time in our service to pray together as a congregation.

For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.

Matthew 18:20

We celebrate communion together – On the second and fourth Saturday of the month we share the Lord’s Supper. We are open to all believers sharing with us no matter what their church tradition is. The celebration of all that God has done for us in the Lord Jesus reminds us of our unity as the body of Christ and is a symbol of what brings us together.

Because there is one loaf, we who are many, are one body, for we all partake of the one loaf.

1 Corinthians 10:17

We Use Liturgy – Our congregation is comprised of people from a wide variety of church backgrounds and traditions who use an Anglican form of service together. In our services we affirm the ancient creeds of the church and incorporate written prayers and responses.

And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.

Acts 2:42
